Countryside Renaissance - New Perspectives (2023)

The seminar invites young professionals sharing their perspectives, visions and works in the recent waves of countryside renaissance in rural Hong Kong. Winner and Honourable Mention of the HKIA Young Architect Award 2022 would share their aspiration about rural Hong Kong and envision the potentials through design proposals. Founder of the Common Map, a young architect, would share his work and experience in engaging villagers in the vicinity of Lai Chi Wo, conserving the rich cultural context through engagement and synthesis. Fostering a multi-disciplinary dialogue, the Winner of HKIP Young Planner Award 2022 would join us and share her works from a slightly different perspective to rethink about the meaning of countryside and project the future.
